Audio Work
Sound Design Samples

We were given a video stripped of any sound and reconstructed the audio, layering and editing clips from free sound libraries. Through different plugins, audiosuite programs, and editing techniques the clips were fitted to both the sound and timing of the video.

Podcast Editing Samples

Assigned to interview a family member for class, I turned the conversation into a podcast with ProTools production. Adding a de-esser, EQ and gate on the voice tracks I was able to maximize the zoom-recorded audio quality as much as possible. However, the track still came out a little muddy, something that would be fixed with my new mic and Scarlett interface. I also learned two valuable lessons: make sure the person you're interviewing closes their windows or else you'll by editing out bird chirps and never take notes with a click pen while recording.
This sample further portrays ProTools proficiency; utilizing a high pass filter and boost, a compressor to even out the levels, and volume automation implemented throughout, along with manual removal of mouth-clicks. Furthermore, the final narration was a compilation of takes promoted from a playlists attempts, punching in for retakes as well.
