 About Me

Born and raised in Newburyport, Massachusetts and recently graduated magna cum laude from American University. Studying journalism, political science, and audio technology I've harnessed the power of the narrative and have a deep understanding of how stories develop in multiple forms.

I've learned to be subjective and objective, partial and impartial, open-minded and vision driven. Now my interests lie in the intersection between law and advocacy.

Journalism relies on concise accurate reporting that encompasses the whole scope of a story. Applied political writing, on the other hand, drives home one consistent theme filled with applicable messages. Having experience in both realms allows one to not only better understand how to differentiate the two but also how to use the two effectively interchangeably.

Data Work

Stories are incredibly impactful, but impactful work always requires meaningful data. But knowing where to look, how to access and how to analyze that data acts as a gatekeeper to some of the world's most important findings.

Using Excel, R and SQL, I have experience cleaning and statistically analyzing data for both class and my internship. See some of my work here.

Audio Work

Minoring in Audio Technology, I have experience recording and editing audio on multiple audio workstations. Experience ranges from podcast production to recording live sound to mixing artists' records.
